[MacBook] IOS 5

Hello to the Group.

Anyone know if IOS 5 will give the iPad better printer options?

Thanks,

Bill

*********************************************************

Hello,

Welcome to the macbook group at Yahoo Groups. Please take a moment to review this message. Better yet, please keep this message in a safe place, so you'll always be able to reference it.

Basic guidelines:

1. This is a group of fellow users. This is not Apple. We do our best to share experiences and help others. Ask, participate, share, comment, gossip, enjoy, but leave the soapbox and sensationalism at home.

2. No spam. No advertising unless approved by the moderator. No discussion of cracks or pirating which could endanger the list.

3. No personal attacks. Offenders will be banned without warning.

4. Trim your quotes! This includes leftover Yahoo footers and signatures. Members who continually quote 60 lines, and only enter 2 of their own, may find themselves permanently moderated (or unable to post at all).

5. Please limit your signatures to 5 lines maximum, and do not post from any location which inserts legal disclaimer footers. If you cannot control this feature (by an employer, for example), please use the web site to post. Remember, this is a fully public group. Personal info in signatures, like email address and phone number, are probably best kept private. When in doubt, post without.

6. The official language of this list is English. We only make this declaration to keep things simple and prevent abuse.

In order to foil spam bots, all new members are automatically moderated. This may cause your first post to be delayed in reaching the list, but rest assured that it is worth the effort. Yahoo doesn't offer any other way to control spam, and their filtering is a joke, so this is all we have.

I do not know how to start it but I dont see it being an issue if your MBP
has the hardware to not slow down going to SL. App Store is checking to make
sure the apps you buy from the store are up to date

Check System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items. If it's in there, just select it and hit the minus button.

[MacBook] App Store

I just upgraded my MacBook Pro from Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) to 10.6 (Snow Leopard). The upgrade went well.

However, now when I boot the system, it starts App Store.app. I don't want to start up in App Store. How do I stop App Store from executing when I start the system ?

I assume the problem is some setting somewhere or some startup folder, but I haven't been able to find anything like that. Perhaps I missed some choice during the system upgrade.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

[MacBook] Multi-device Sync Question

I'm having the devil's own time getting synching straightened out between my
iPad, iPhone, and Macbook (as well as office Windows machine).

Background: MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.1 with iCal and Mac Office 2011
(default) Outlook synching through iSynch to my iPad2, iPhone, and office
Windows laptop running Ms Office 2007.

Problem: I've got multiple entries of calendar events being displayed across
all devices and I can't get it straightened out. As I clear out entries,
they are repopulated with the next synchronization.

Obviously I'm missing key steps.

Can anyone shed light on how I should approach synchronizing across multiple
devices?

Thanks,

Art
