Re: [MacBook] bluetooth laser mice

I had a V70 up until about a year ago. It is a good basic mouse. Bluetooth mice have some quirks, the most noticeable being the slight delay in "waking up" after a period of idleness. Nothing I couldn't live with though. The V70 died after about two years of use. I purchased it as a refurbished unit, so this one might have had a history. I don't think it's a bad mouse though.

The mouse I am using now is a M705 Logitech. It is a wireless, but not Bluetooth. It has a USB dongle that it pairs with. This uses a precious USB port, but I have a powered 4-way hub installed. This dongle is also capable of pairing with other devices (printer, keyboard) so only one dongle is needed for several devices. I have yet to try out this feature because I have the Apple Bluetooth keyboard and a wired USB printer.

Having had both, I think I would go with a USB wireless mouse. There is more options available, and you get more bang for the buck.

[MacBook] bluetooth laser mice

Hello all, any recommendations/suggestions on any of the many mice available. I just tried a GearHead that wouldn't connect and I'm thinking of having a go with a Logitech V70. Please share any good/bad experiences with this.

Thanks George

Re: [MacBook] Re: iPad2 Question

Actually I found the answer. My internet provider doesn't allow tethering unless my plan includes 1gig data. Right now I only have 500megs data in my plan. That's bs as far as I'm concerned, but I don't really need a data plan for my iPad, since I turn off the roaming feature on my iPhone anyway when I travel. There are enough wifi hotspots everywhere so I'll be all right.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Just to be asking since there isn't enough info in your query, did you have Wi-Fi turned on, with both devices?

Interesting reading, thanks. One thing I forgot to mention. I had used Oynx recently and turned on visibility for hidden files, so I was seeing various hidden files in the trash as well. I wonder if that made any difference. We use Crash Plan for backup so TM is not involved as suggested in some of the Apple discussion posts.

A quick scan through the first page didn't show any definite revelations about the cause, but you definitely aren't alone!

UPDATE
I restarted. Still the same error. Then I went in and manually deleted several files. Then I tried the empty trash menu item again and it worked.

Go figure. I'd still like to know if anyone knows why this occurs.
