[MacBook] Re: Time Machine problem/question

Hello to the Group,

I had a Gremlin in the Airport WiFi Networks.

I was able to back up both computers to the Time Capsule via an ethernet cable and also to another separate hard drive via a USB cable. So Time Machine and Time Capsule seemed to be working just fine so long as I was hard wired to a network or hard drive.

Curiously I was able to get on the internet using Airport but for some reason I was not able to connect to the Time Capsule hard drive using Airport.

So I wiped the data clean on Airport to factory defaults and re-entered all the network names and passwords.

I found out the administrator network is the only one that permits connection to the Time Capsule hard drive. I think this is where the glitch was. I don't remember seeing two networks on Airport and I must have "lost" the one that permitted connection to the Time Capsule Drive.

Thanks guys for all the support. There was a lot of head scratching on my end. I am sure I have everything working now.

Bill

You'll likely need to Export (File menu) each of your spreadsheets from Numbers as Excel format, unless there's some batch converter out there.

Re: [MacBook] iBook OS question

You should be able to get 10.5.8 through "Software Update"

That's it

[MacBook] Re: Time Machine problem/question

Hi Glenn,

Well this is weird. I turn on Disk Utility and I do not see Time Capsule in the list to work with. Even with an ethernet cable connected directly to Time Capssule from the MacBook. Hmmmm. I wonder if it might be a hardware problem now.
