Re: [MacBook] Macbook Pro (2008) Unibody HD upgradeable?

Okay thanks I get full of the bottom cover once, but had a friend help me. The screws are really small, so it's a maybe as for doing it myself.

According to iFixit.com, this is an "easy" upgrade. The guide is only 3 pages.

That's nothing compared to the time I swapped out a bad drive for a friend's iBook, which spanned 14 pages of guide.

I'd prefer to do it myself, which would require an external SATA enclosure for the current drive. SATA-USB2 cases are very inexpensive. On the other hand, I have experience doing this. If you aren't comfortable with the process, skip it. (This one looks perfect for beginners, however. No cables involved.) Note that you'll need a Torx T6 screwdriver.. I don't even have one of those. I guess T8 and T9 are old school now.

Would a vendor do the transfer for you? You'd need to ask the vendor.

Problem is I'm down to 12gb on this 160gb drive. I'm going to see what I can delete besides media in iTunes, but I think that's the biggest reason for my drive being full so I'm not hopeful. Thanks in advance.
