[MacBook] Noisy Pre Unibody 17" MBP
I gave my daughter my old MBP.
She is telling me that it randomly makes a sound like a dysfunctional fan. I don't recall that it had one and am suspecting the DVD drive.
Any thoughts out there??
It is also having slow shutdowns and sometimes difficult startups. The computer has shut down randomly both on Battery and AC power.
I am going to recommend that she run disk utilities etc, but am wondering if others have thoughts on this.
