[MacBook] weird video problem on MacBook Pro
Hi.
I've got a late 2008 MacBook pro (Core 2 Duo,2.5ghz)and recently what looks like a halftone screen of vertical lines (look like vertical scan lines) appears 'over' everything.
It's hard to explain...so last night I was working and all of a sudden it's like someone put a screen of those lines over the entire screen. It distorts all of the text/graphics and makes it almost impossible to see anything. Then as quick as it happened, it blipped back off again.
It happened last weekend also, but took longer to go away. I rebooted holding the shift key and zapped the PRAM and that seemed to make it go away, but since it happened again last night, I'm guessing that wasn't the cause. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the screen itself---like opening or closing it.
HELP----I can't lose this computer right now.
